In this week’s real-time analytics news: Qlik strengthened its partnership with Databricks expanding the ability of customers to leverage the cloud.

Qlik announced two significant enhancements to its partnership with Databricks that make it easier for customers to combine Qlik’s solutions and Databricks to advance their cloud analytics strategies. First is the launch of the Databricks Lakehouse (Delta) Endpoint, a new capability in Qlik Data Integration, which will simplify and improve customers’ ability to ingest and deliver data to the Databricks Lakehouse. Second is the integration of Qlik Cloud with Databricks Partner Connect, enhancing the Qlik Data Analytics trial experience with Databricks. Both deepen and expand the ability of customers to combine Qlik and Databricks in their efforts to leverage the cloud for impact.

Arcion announced agentless change data capture (CDC) for all of its supported databases and applications. Enterprises can now replicate data in real time, at scale, with guaranteed delivery — but without the inherent performance issues, security concerns, and administrative burdens associated with the installation of proprietary software on database servers. Arcion provides agentless CDC for all supported platforms, including Microsoft Azure and SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, SAP HANA, Salesforce, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake, MySQL, and numerous others.

BigID announced native data deletion capabilities that make it easy for organizations to delete personal and sensitive data quickly and effectively across their data stores – including Snowflake, AWS S3, MySQL, Google Drive, Teradata, and more. In addition, the new application allows customers to meet several privacy regulation requirements, reduce attack surfaces, and improve data security posture while taking the necessary steps to protect their data and achieve compliance.

Tigris Data announced the launch of its serverless and open-source developer data platform Tigris. Tigris is aimed at web and mobile apps, providing a unified API that spans search, event streaming, and transactional document store, along with smart features like automatic indexing and management. By using serverless and a single API, this approach simplifies the data infrastructure for application developers and enables them to focus on building.

HiveMQ announced the availability of the HiveMQ Distributed Tracing Extension, a new feature that makes it possible to trace and debug MQTT data streams from device to cloud and back. Distributed Tracing is a way to trace events and achieve a high-level overview of a message’s journey through multiple, complex systems. With the Distributed Tracing Extension, HiveMQ is the first MQTT broker to add OpenTelemetry support to provide complete transparency for every publish message that uses the HiveMQ MQTT broker.

cnvrg.io, an Intel Company, announced that the new Intel Developer Cloud is now available via the cnvrg.io Metacloud platform, providing a fully integrated software and hardware solution. With cnvrg.io Metacloud orchestration of workloads and cloud infrastructure, developers and AI specialists can leverage Intel Developer Cloud for all their application needs. Specifically, developers can instantly access the latest AI/Data optimized Intel resources seamlessly, improving performance and ROI of AI, data, and cloud infrastructure.

Keymakr announced the launch of its SaaS platform, Keylabs. Through Keylabs, Keymakr empowers companies of all sizes to leverage its data annotation tools in-house. Keymakr’s video annotation supports object tracking for companies in various industries, such as agriculture, waste management, and automotive. The company also works with retail companies, which deal with data that comes from mobile devices, in-store cameras, logistics, and warehouse cameras. Now all companies, regardless of whether they have data-annotation teams, can leverage Keymakr’s annotation capabilities through Keylabs.

Habana, an Intel company, announced its Habana Gaudi-based Amazon EC2 DL1 Instances will be available on the Red Hat OpenShift Data Science platform to provide a new level of deep learning performance and efficiency in developing, training, and deploying deep learning models and workloads. Specifically, with Habana’s SynapseAI Software Suite, developers will be able to build deep learning models easily and quickly or migrate existing models with Gaudi processors on Amazon EC2 DL1 instances. The Gaudi platform and DL1 instances support TensorFlow and PyTorch frameworks and provide developers with a wide array of computer vision and natural language processing reference models and tools.

UiPath unveiled its latest platform updates as well as an extended strategic partnership with Microsoft. With this partnership, UiPath and Microsoft will collaborate and innovate together to bring automation solutions powered by Microsoft Azure to market, creating a powerful value proposition for customers seeking to enhance productivity by using UiPath automation capabilities within Microsoft Office. The new updates to UiPath’s Business Automation Platform will be generally available beginning October 31. They include new developer capabilities for next-gen business apps, continuous discovery without boundaries, and enhanced platform intelligence.

Real-time analytics news in brief

NEC Corporation and Red Hat announced an expanded global collaboration to drive IT modernization and digital transformation on Red Hat OpenShift. Building on a longstanding relationship, the two companies plan to deliver solutions using Red Hat OpenShift to support NEC offerings such as core DX, global 5G, digital finance, and digital government to customers globally. This expansion will strengthen the technical cooperation between the two companies, including the formation of a Center of Excellence and joint technology development.

AtScale announced an expanded set of product capabilities for organizations working to accelerate the deployment and adoption of enterprise artificial intelligence (AI). The AtScale Enterprise semantic layer platform now incorporates two new capabilities: semantic predictions and a variety of managed features. These new capabilities leverage AtScale’s position within the data stack with support for common cloud data warehouse and lakehouse platforms, including Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of AWS IoT FleetWise, a new service that makes it easier for automotive companies to collect, transform, and transfer vehicle data to the cloud in near real time. Automakers, suppliers, fleet operators, and technology solution vendors in the automotive industry can use AWS IoT FleetWise to collect and organize vehicle data more easily and to store the data in a standardized way for data analysis in the cloud.

DataRobot announced the public availability of DataRobot Dedicated Managed AI Cloud, a dedicated hosted version of AI Cloud managed by DataRobot experts. Dedicated Managed AI Cloud provides the latest DataRobot capabilities to support critical AI and machine learning projects with the advantage of public cloud services, reducing cost and time-to-value in deploying, upgrading, and managing the AI infrastructure. This new offering extends the full functionality of the AI Cloud to provide a dedicated managed instance of the DataRobot platform running for each customer in the cloud.

Spectro Cloud announced a new release of its Palette Edge platform, which helps businesses deploy and manage edge K8s clusters at scale. The new Palette Edge offers edge K8s users tamperproof security for Kubernetes at the edge; Palette eXtended Kubernetes Edge (PXK-E), which is a new edge-optimized Kubernetes distribution version of Spectro Cloud’s CNCF-upstream Kubernetes distribution; a NOC-like dashboard, and simple edge device onboarding.

Kong Inc. introduced a number of new performance, security, and extensibility features across its entire product portfolio, including major new releases of Kong Gateway, Kong Konnect, Kong Mesh, Kong Insomnia, and Kong Ingress Controller, as well as inventive new projects from the Kong Incubator. The company also strengthened its partner ecosystem through deeper partnerships with companies, including AWS and Red Hat.

ClearML announced the general availability of ClearML for Enterprise. (Previously, the platform was only available to a select group of customers on an invite-only basis.) ClearML is purpose-built for the MLOps industry, empowering MLOps teams to execute, manage, monitor, audit, and analyze the entire MLOps process from a single fully integrated platform – all with just two lines of code. With ClearML for Enterprise, customers significantly shorten their time-to-value and time-to-revenue.

Label Studio announced the Label Studio 1.6 open-source release now supports video object tracking in general availability. As such, the open-source data labeling platform now supports all data types, including video, image, text and hypertext, time series, and audio. In addition to the new video player that supports frame-by-frame video object tracking, the latest release also features a new annotation user interface (UI) that is more efficient, ergonomic, and flexible.

Provectus announced the v0.7 release of its Open-Source Data Discovery (ODD) and Observability Platform. The update includes the first iteration of role-based access control (RBAC), along with enhancements to the Ingestion API. Both features are crucial to ensuring a more efficient and effective data governance process. Additionally, various small enhancements have also been introduced to improve the user experience.

Torii launched Torii for Procurement. With SaaS discovery capabilities at its core, this new solution provides a real-time view of all cloud applications, redundancies, usage, costs, and contracts in a dedicated procurement experience. Torii for Procurement instantly pinpoints unforeseen cost-saving opportunities, enables continuous spend management, and makes it easy to procure and renew the right applications at the best price.

Veryfi launched a Free tier for its optical character recognition (OCR) application programming interface (API) platform. Now, software companies looking to turn unstructured documents into structured data can quickly add AI-driven OCR capabilities to their apps without incurring any startup costs – enabling faster time to market with greater innovation and business agility. The only limit is the number of documents that developers can submit to the OCR API platform of 100 for the initial 14 days and 50 per month after that.

SIOS Technology Corp. announced the immediate availability of SIOS LifeKeeper for Linux version 9.6.2. The latest version of its clustering software provides support for recent operating system upgrades and Azure Shared Disk. SIOS LifeKeeper for Linux lets businesses run their business-critical applications in a flexible, scalable cloud environment, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS EC2, and Google Cloud Platform while maintaining high availability, disaster protection, and optimal application performance.

Partnerships, collaborations, and more

Aiven announced the acquisition of Kafkawize. Marking a first for the company, this acquisition signals Aiven’s evolution from an open-source contributor to a steward of open-source communities. As part of this transition, Kafkawize has been renamed Klaw. Klaw directly meets the needs of developers by providing a Kafka governance interface that can manage topic-level operations. Klaw has joined Aiven’s Open Source Program Office, where it will continue to be developed as an open-source project under the Apache License 2.0.

Acceldata announced its Data Observability Cloud is now Powered by Snowflake. This expansion of Acceldata’s partnership with Snowflake aims to provide joint customers with improved visibility and reliability into monitoring and analyzing the performance and configuration of modern data environments. With the Data Observability Cloud, joint customers can ensure resources are used efficiently and with guardrails to align cost to value, deliver high-quality data, and more to get the most from their Snowflake instance.

Jitterbit announced a new partnership with ShipStation to create more seamless shipping processes for merchants and improve the customer experience. Using intelligent automation, Jitterbit will be able to connect ShipStation to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems without IT help or development work for implementation. E-commerce customers will be able to combine the two systems with just a few clicks.

DiffusionData, formerly known as Push Technology, announced the final details of the company’s business realignment strategy to meet the digital transformation needs of the broad range of markets it serves. The last step was to present the renaming of the company to assure absolute clarity on the corporate mission, which is to manage and reduce the costs of data consumption, transformation, and delivery in real time at Internet scale. Specifically, the company’s Diffusion Intelligent Data Platform consumes raw data in any size, format, or velocity; enriches the data in-flight; and distributes the data in real time.

Dell Technologies is introducing a new telecom cloud infrastructure solution, co-engineered with Wind River, to help communications service providers (CSPs) reduce complexity and accelerate their cloud-native network deployments. The approach is based on Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks, which are fully engineered, cloud-native infrastructure blocks that simplify telecom cloud network deployment and management while accelerating the introduction of new technologies and lowering operational expenses (OpEx).

Kinetica is now accessible as-a-service in AWS Marketplace. The listing gives organizations real-time analysis and modern location intelligence on massive IoT data sets. The availability of Kinetica as a fully managed service in AWS Marketplace allows customers to purchase the solution quickly via pay-as-you-go (PAYG) or Private Offers, automatically provision environments, and simply integrate their existing applications, enabling them to innovate faster and enhance their performance on AWS.

The SAS Viya analytics platform is now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace with the click of a button on a pay-as-you-go basis. Full-featured SAS Viya on Microsoft Azure equips customers worldwide with access to essential data exploration, machine learning, and model deployment analytics. It’s available in many translated languages and includes an extensive in-app learning center to support immediate onboarding.

AppTek and expert.ai  announced they have entered into a strategic technology partnership to bring AI-based text analytics to dynamic audio content in multiple languages. The partnership leverages AppTek’s leadership in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Neural Machine Translation (NMT) technologies with expert.ai’s natural language understanding (NLU) capabilities to enable organizations to leverage audio content in the unstructured data sets that they manage for improving decision making and augmenting intelligent automation.

data.world announced a partnership with Fivetran to increase the speed and efficiency of cloud data adoptions. Together, data.world and Fivetran deliver benefits to enterprises moving to a modern data stack. One benefit is accelerated ROI. data.world leverages the Fivetran Metadata API to track data “in-flight” from source to destination, increasing efficiencies and minimizing strain on data engineers. Other benefits include end-to-end pipeline visibility and plug-and-play data governance.

Arize AI announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud, including its availability on Google Cloud Marketplace, which will enable the startup to drive new customer growth and leverage Google Cloud’s go-to-market expertise globally. The solution is a cloud-first platform built entirely on Google Cloud. Arize uses Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to build its production-grade ML-observability platform, which is used by ML teams at enterprises.

Lumen has concluded two industry security examinations for Lumen Edge Bare Metal, confirming this edge solution meets stringent security and compliance requirements. Lumen successfully completed a Type 2 System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 examination. Lumen Edge Bare Metal also received ISO 27001 certification for information security management.

VAST Data announced a strategic partnership with Dremio to enable enterprises to get from data to insights faster with a hybrid, multi-cloud architecture for scalable analytics.
